Why sprouts?

Sprouts are nuts, seeds, grains and legumes harvested between 5 and 10 days after germination, or at the jointing stage (first set of real leaves) of the plant. Research has shown that plants are at their peak of nutrition at this point, and after this the energy of the plant goes into producing the next generation.
